Pre-departure

• To date, I have only traveled within the borders of the United States. I have been in almost every state on the the East Coast.
  
• Obviously, a main reason I wanted to go on this trip is because I have yet to be out of the country. My family is German and the language is my minor, so I look forward to learning about the culture first hand. I'm excited to see the differences between Europe and the United States.
  
• I look forward to the company visits because these could each be a future employer if I decide to pursue a career with a German company. Also, I can't wait to see Germany itself. It's very exciting to have the opportunity to see firsthand what I have previously only read about in textbooks.
  
• I expect that there are going to be many differences while overseas. Meals and different mealtimes will certainly be an interesting experience, along with hours of shop operation. It was also be interesting to see and experience what young adults do in another country.
